Dentsu Aegis Network Teams Up With Feeding America
NEW YORK, Sept. 16, 2019. It’s a fact: One in nine people in America are at risk of hunger. That’s why the work Feeding America®, a nationwide network of food banks that provides nutritious food to families and individuals in need, is so valuable.
Beginning this month, Dentsu Aegis Network is lending its support to Feeding America and their powerful efforts to help families in need. The relationship kicks off during Hunger Action Month, with the donation of the equivalent of 320,000 meals* to communities in need with an emphasis on food banks that serve Hispanic families.
Bruce Reynolds, Dentsu Aegis Network’s U.S. Social Impact Director, said: "Food insecurity is an often overlooked issue with one-in-nine people struggling with hunger. Unfortunately, this issue is even more prevalent in Hispanic communities. This month, and beyond, Dentsu Aegis Network dedicates itself to addressing people’s foundational needs. Supporting Feeding America is part of the Dentsu Aegis Network’s overall commitment to supporting the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and specifically, Zero Hunger and Good Health and Wellbeing. The Sustainable Development Goals were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty by 2030, protecting the planet and ensuring that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. Each goal helps to develop a balanced mission on social, economic and environmental sustainability efforts.
