Derek Huang joined Carat China in 2012 as Head of Business Science and Insights for Carat. He has successfully led the development of key products for strategy, planning and measurement including CCS, the largest syndicated consumer database in China. In 2016 he was promoted to the role of Regional Head of Insights and Research for Carat and Dentsu Aegis Network. In this position, he spearheaded best practices and lead teams responsible for insights, research and data analysis across 14 markets, as well as working closely with regional product and data science teams in delivering innovative media products and partnerships. Under his leadership, a number of key products and initiatives were successfully launched, such as Insight 360, Data fusions, and pioneering artificial intelligence solutions that leverage key global partnerships and platforms. Prior to his experience in Carat and Dentsu Aegis, he was a senior brand strategy consultant, serving top Chinese and international clients.
