DAN Bulgaria helped raise almost € 15 000 in a 24-hour charity marathon
4 September 2016, Sofia: This Saturday Dentsu Aegis Network Bulgaria took part of a 24-hour marathon “Sofia 24 Run” to collect funds for supporting the local Paralympians team. The race at the National Stadium gathered more than 3 thousand people including participants form Romania, Russia and United States and collect 28 162 stadium laps in total.
Half of Dentsu team had gathered to challenge their running capabilities and to support the initiative.
Client Service, Finance and Digital had dedicated most representatives in the run. Amplifi team were the first to declare participation and most eager to start. Finance representatives were most charitable donating additionally apart from the official amount gathered by the race. Digital, Amnet and iProspect were with the best scores but an Client Service Department representative blew the competition away by making most laps alone running for more than 3 hours.

The youngest participants in the team were Konstantin (2 years old) and Dara & Plamena (7 years old) – kids of three of company team members – they were running alongside with their parents making 9 out of the total 170 stadium laps for our team! The best result with 60 stadium laps was achieved by Hristo Topuzov, Client Director, who made two series during the 24-hour rice.
“That was the best way to demonstrate our values on live – challenging ourselves to take an extra mile, we worked together to demonstrate how the collective responsibility can be turn on into actions. For each lap a donation was made for supporting the improvement of Bulgarian Paralympians training base and the result after the final round is impressive - a total of almost € 15 000 was collected on spot at the same day when Rushdie Rushdie won a golden medal for Bulgaria during the ongoing Rio Paralympics 2016 in shot put discipline. I'm extremely proud with our team and our contribution to this great cause”, Radoslav Nedelchev, Chief Operating Officer and CSR Champion of DAN Bulgaria said.
