Tim Powell became Managing Director of Public Relations Australia, BWM Dentsu PR Group, in February 2016. Tim has 20 years’ experience in building public relations agencies, including Cox Inall Communications, which he sold to BWM in 2011.
Prior to working in PR, Tim was a media advisor to NSW Premier John Fahey and a newspaper journalist. Tim holds a journalism degree from Curtin University and a Masters of Public Affairs from the University of Sydney. He is also a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia.
Tim has a wealth of experience in helping clients build and protect brand and corporate reputation, and manage difficult issues. Tim’s professional passion is to study the way influence evolves in brand, corporate, political and community spheres.
Outside of work Tim embarrasses his teenage daughters with his quest to become a better guitarist, cyclist and volunteer life saver.
