Aden Ridgeway

Managing Director, Cox Inall Ridgeway

Aden Ridgeway is Managing Director of Cox Inall Ridgeway, a majority-owned Indigenous business certified by Supply Nation. Aden specialises in special counsel, leadership, policy and strategic planning advice. 

Born in Macksville in northern NSW in 1962, he is a proud member of the Gumbayyngirr people. Aden’s life has lead him from the treadmill of poverty, growing up on an Aboriginal reserve, to becoming the first Indigenous Australian to be elected as a Parliamentary Leader (Deputy Leader, Australian Democrats, 2001-02), and serving for six years as a NSW Senator for the Federal Parliament. 

Aden has spent several years’ as a consultant, board member and chair of numerous indigenous councils and organisations, including the Sydney ATSIC Regional Council, The Centre for Aboriginal Independence and Enterprise, in addition to five years as Executive Director of the NSW Aboriginal Land Council. 

Aden has a doctorate (Hon Lit) from the NSW University of Technology, Sydney. His early experiences have given him strong family traditions and he is a proud father of two adult sons and a younger daughter.
