Columbus wins Agency of the Year in Google’s inaugural Performance Honours Awards
Columbus has been awarded Performance Agency of the Year at the inaugural Google Performance Honours Awards.
Google launched the Performance Honours Program in March 2017 to recognise the achievements of the best Performance marketing agencies across Australia and New Zealand. More than 20 companies entered the competition in its inaugural year.
The program also encompasses a Performance Gurus program, recognising exceptional individuals in the Performance space.
Columbus and program participants were measured against specific product metrics indicative of Search Excellence - metrics designed to deliver the best possible Search results for clients.

The performance community is made up of some of the most passionate and brightest minds who deliver measurable outcomes every single day. Last night’s gathering of experts across 20+ agencies can all be credited to Kristy Benstead and the Google team. Taking home the top honours amongst this field of talent is an outstanding achievement for every Columbian.”
The initiative recognises the significance of Performance and Search Advertising.

Four Columbus team members, David Rossi, Emily Bowers, John-Paul MacCormick and Maud Durieu, won a place on the Google Performance Study Tour and will be heading to Mountain View in February with 11 other Performance professionals from the Australian industry.
Throughout the program, Columbus was also awarded a Creative Excellence and Audience award, recognising their expertise in these two pillars of search.
