Dentsu Aegis Network Singapore bets big on being one Dentsu

Dentsu Aegis Network Singapore has kicked off 2020 with a concerted effort that bets big on its one Dentsu strategy that aims to drive greater simplification and joined-up thinking.

The strategy is already beginning to deliver early successes with new wins and client renewals such as StarHub and Income.

Led by Singapore CEO, Prakash Kamdar, and driven by its newly formed Executive team, the strategy is aligned with the new global business model that has streamlined the group’s offerings into three key pillars of Creative, Media and CRM.

CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Singapore, Prakash Kamdar, commented, “As our recent CMO Survey shows, marketers believe that investing in BIG Ideas and Creativity is more important than ever before, however they want to see creativity aligning with consistent experiences across the customer journey. As clients’ needs continue to evolve in the digital economy, we see it as a strategic imperative to provide them with a unified experience of our capabilities, and connect more dots, to help them meet their business goals.”

As part of the execution of the new strategy, Prerna Mehrotra has been promoted to lead our Media business in Singapore. She will be transitioning into the role held by Audrey Kuah, current Executive team member and Executive Director, Media Group, APAC, who will be leaving the network at the end of March 2020 to pursue other opportunities.

On the transition, Kamdar commented, “Audrey has been working very closely with Prerna to help drive our strategy, and is keen to see her take over the reins now that the strategy is starting to pay dividends. Audrey has been with the network for more than eight illustrious years. Since joining us in 2011, her work has been nothing short of transformational. We are deeply appreciative of her contributions towards establishing us as the powerhouse that we are today. She has successfully led client development and marketing across Southeast Asia and built a media and performance practice fit for marketing in the digital economy. Her stewardship of our first global R&D Centre in collaboration with the Economic Development Board in Singapore also yielded several successful projects that have been transferred to markets globally. Audrey is an astute digital, marketing, advertising and business leader who will be a valued asset wherever her next adventure may take her. I wish her the very best when she leaves at the end of March.”

Audrey Kuah, Executive Director, Media Group, APAC, commented, “In the eight years that I have been with Dentsu Aegis Network, I have been given incredible opportunities to help establish the business in the industry. I have thoroughly enjoyed the work that I got to develop and appreciate the clients and colleagues that I have had the privilege to meet along the way. But the time is now right for me to explore external opportunities where I can continue to share my industry knowledge and expertise in a different environment, and I am leaving with confidence that the Media business is in the best hands under Prerna Mehrotra.”

Prerna joined Dentsu Aegis Network in 2016 and was responsible for delivering regional cost commitments across key global and regional clients for close to four years before taking on her current role as Client President. In her new role, Prerna will oversee networks brands within the Singapore Media line of business which includes iProspect, Carat, Vizeum, Amplifi, Amnet, and Posterscope.

On her new appointment, Prerna Mehrotra, said, “I have been working closely with Prakash, Audrey, and the rest of the Executive team on our Singapore strategy in the past few months and am excited to be formally part of the process to bring the network to the next phase of growth. It is an honour to be handed the responsibilities of looking after our Media line of business in Singapore, which Audrey has steadily and successfully developed. Building a media practice fit for our client’s needs in the rapidly evolving digital environment is our imperative and we believe at Dentsu Aegis Network we have the best-in-class capabilities that will enable our clients to win and grow. I look forward to working with the team to continue scaling our Media offerings.”

The transition also sees Sunil Naryani and Anshuman Purohit jointly taking on trading and investment roles, with SK Biswas leaving the business to return to India.
