Toronto – Dentsu Aegis Network Canada in collaboration with Google Canada launches the Digital Advance Internship Program just in time for Canada’s 150. Working together, the two companies combined resources to attract, retain and train two interns through a dynamic curriculum so they in turn can advance the digital innovations for Canadian clients.
“Canada, our clients and our company are pionnering new models to innovate our economy,” said John Stockwell, Chief Talent Officer at Dentsu Aegis Network Canada. “Our focus is to innovate the way brands are built and we’re nurturing that with one of the strongest digital leaders in the industry.”
Deployed during a ten-week period, the program lands candidates front-row access to the latest trends and best practices in digital and technology with live exposure to the work and business processes at both Dentsu Aegis Network Canada and Google Canada. For this inaugural session, close to 150 entry proposals were received, out of which two successful candidates have been selected.
In the first phase of the internship, the candidates will complete a four-week induction at Dentsu Aegis Network Canada where they will gain an actionable understanding of what digital media is, from investment to programmatic, to planning to innovation. In the second phase of their training, they will be transitioned to Google Canada headquarters for six weeks of intensive training led by a cross-capability team of sales, product and technology experts. Finally, the program culminates with placement for both candidates at Dentsu Aegis Network Canada, within one of the group’s media agencies.
“This program has been designed with purpose and speed to ensure that the training we offer directly helps our clients innovate in a rapidly changing digital marketplace,” added Stockwell. “We’re looking forward to scaling this opportunity across Canada.”
